no longer a baby

The challenge#35 at at Scrappers at SG's is to create a layout using the following: stamp, emboss and handmade flower.

And this is my entry for the challenge, I used Julie Bonner's May 3, 2010 sketch for my layout below.

This is the flower i made using tissue paper and sprayed with glimmer mist, which i found in youtube (How To Make Paper Flowers (with Tohru Honda) ).

And these are the flowers which my daughter cut and asked to be put on the LO.

Thank you for looking. =)

Christmas in November

Last Saturday, 29 Nov, we had our annual Scrappers at SG Christmas party and as expected we all had a grand time. We all let our hairs down and were like kids again, shrieking with delight while playing the party games. There was no dull moment.

Kudos to the organizers of the party, Marix, Sookie, and Abby! And like every children’s party there is a giveaway given, we were given our very own aprons! The very pretty aprons are made by our very own talented scrapmates Marix, Abby and Ces together with the help of Ces’ mother. Thank you ladies!!

Some photos of the gang (grabbed from Ces' blog) to share with our aprons. :)

Prior to the party we have our monitor/monita challenge where we will create a layout for our baby. Below are the LO’s I created for my baby Bheng.

Challenge#1
Something round and something clear
So sorry that deadline is near...
Then, add something hard,
Definitely not lard.

Challenge#2
something long
something small
that's not all
but you'll never go wrong
then, add something softto finish it off
This is what I received from my mommy CJ. Thank you mommy, really really love these beautiful layouts!

And in return I need to create a layout for my mommy CJ which is still in progress, I’ll post it as soon as I’ve completed it *wink wink*.
We also helped out Marix on her project of creating albums for the SCKC. We managed to create 100 6x6 pages! Hurray!!! Please visit here to know more about the details on how you can help. Also Marix is giving out a RAK to promote this undertaking, just drop by her blog for the details.
Thanks for dropping by. Have a nice week!

Family Layout

This is the only layout i managed to do for this week. Picture was taken at a sticker photo booth (not sure what it's called) at the arcade of Great World City. The quality of the picture was good considering that it is only 5sgd :p. But the picture i've used in this layout is already a scanned copy.

This is my entry at Scrappers at SG, Scrappin Kids, Scrapbook Challenges Clear Challenge.
Talk about hitting 3 birds with 1 stone.. LOL :)

Anniversary

The 1st year anniversary celebration of Scrappers at SG was held last Saturday, 19 April 2008. A million thanks to the organizers Abiik, Benga, Cute#1 & Soox for organizing such a wonderful event.

One activity last Satruday was a photo swap and we need to create an LO from the photo we have picked. Below is the LO I’ve managed to put together.

Summer Fun

Scraplift from Scrapbook etc July 2007 Binder by Erin Roe

This is the sample layout for Scrappers at SG's Challenge#15.

The theme for this challenge is Summer Fun.

In the Philippines, March is the start of the SUMMER FUN.

Since it's the children's school vacation, most of us would go for a dip in the beach or pool and have a fun time!So for this challenge, we can get to know more about what you (or your family) usually do during this hot season!

Summer heat starts now and it ends on 11th of April!

Bring out your shades and let's have some summer lovin'!

Come and Join the fun! :)

Thanks To You

Journal:
Thanks to You

Thanks to You For teaching me how to feel
Showing me my emotions Letting me know what's real
From what is not
What I've got is more that I'd ever hoped for
And a lot of what I hope for is
Thanks to you

For challenge#13, what stick to my mind was that the challenge was to use a song title as the title of the layout. So i thought of honoring my parents for the layout. That's why i chose the song "Thanks to You" by Tyler Collins.

But when i check the rules of the challenge again it was not only a song title but a "love" song title. But i think it's still appropriate, the song can still be a love song for my parents ;) hehehe

Thanks for looking :)
